My name is Stephan Lofting and I have been involved in the floorcovering industry since 1975. In 1995 I began some serious research into carpet retail outlets - what worked - what didn't . My present creation, Blue Tongue Discount Carpet Warehouse opened it's doors on 16th September 2000, the day of the Olympic Games. I experienced oustanding success from day one, for good reason. Now, more than 9 years later we are growing stronger with every week that passes. The last few years have been the worst economic period in our industry's history for over 48 years. Many much larger and "more established" stores have downsized or closed up altogether. We did not. We are still doing fine.

My set up and operating systems are unique in many ways. We are like the local fruit & veg shop that CAN beat the supermarkets at their own game. I truly believe that my operation is duplicateable for the right persons in the right locations.
